cxlii, 141 + 306 pp, illustrated, 143-page introduction,gilt decoration to ront boards, there is a split along front edge of back strip of volume 2 of approximately 3 inches, both volumes have small split to top opf spine at edge, corners bumped, moderate foxing, overall good sound copy. Includes loose collection of newspaper cuttings relating to Craven family. There are 3 cuttings relating to the suicide of the Early of Craven in 1983 and controversy over his illegitimate son, who inherited the unsettled portion of the estate. There are 2 articles from Country Life relating to Benham Park the home of Lady Craven. The shorter is a letter to the magazine which gives details of Jane Austen's connection with the place. There is a short articles concerning a possible portrait of Lady Craven, expert is inconvinced. There is an article on Jphn Nixon and his Circle form Country Life which references his connection with Lady Craven. Also loose a recent Christmas card whosing an engraving of Benham Hall.
