350pp, includes a typed list tipped in front of book identifing some of the characters in these stories with the real life women involved in the suffrage movement, includes Carrie Chapman Catt, Mary Newcombe, Rose Schneidermann, list gives 19 women's names, with the different stories they are placed in, book is sadly damp damages, boards are warped and many pages have light damp stain and wrinkle effect associated with contact with water, but the text is not obscured in any way. A very scarce item and the typed list of names is an important research tool. Some names are heavily disguised others have just one letter changed. Also includes a few biographical details, place operated etc. includes many New York activists.
